The other day while visiting Mom, she handed me this, and said she accidentally bought two.
My immediate response was, "thank you (long pause) what will I do with it?" My eternally optimistic mother replied, "you'll think of something." If you have been a frequent reader of Cottage and Vine, then you know that color is a challenge for me... at least bright color.
I got to thinking and came up with a plan. It's really fun to think outside the box. Something different, good for the gray matter.
One more wreath is needed for the dining room window so maybe I'll use it there. I made my usual wreath with cypress from the garden only this time, I added Mom's flower to it. Love how feathery the foliage is.
It turned out better than I thought. Mom, always the adventurous one...her wreath involves peacock feathers. Maybe she will let me take a picture next time I'm there to share with you. I guarantee it will be gorge!

ReplyDeleteWhen mum gives something, you have to say "ooo, great, thanks" and you have to use it at somewhere of course. They are really pretty leafs and thet seems lovely on your wreath.
