Our playroom is in the middle of a transformation ~ the goal: to look more playful and fun. I recently gave the T.V. cabinet a new look.
The before pictures have mysteriously disappeared and no one here knows anything about it of course, but the cabinet used to be black and the room was a wreck. Well, the cabinet has changed and the room itself has not....but it will.
The room is in the middle of an evolution and there will be a "reveal" once it is complete. I just wanted to give you a peek as it unfolds.
The joys of spray paint...

I love the color (and the little painting on top). It all looks so fresh!

ReplyDeleteHi Rene! Thanks for visiting my blog, to answer your question, the basket took longer to paint then to make the lining. (Crazy but I'd rather sew then paint). I love your color choice on your cabinet. Did you have to prime before paint? I'm so scared to paint furniture, I'd love to try if I only knew the steps...
ReplyDeleteMichelle
I love it, I soooo need a cabinet for my tv...
ReplyDeleteWell that is just perfection!
ReplyDeleteAnd the perfect blue!
XXOOXX
To answer the question from "A Little French Loven", I didn't use primer, but I did sand the piece before I painted it. I have painted lots of furniture and have never primed it first...probably should, I'm just too lazy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linkin' up for my 1st Power of Paint Party! Unfortunately you put my blog html in the link... so it's link'in back to my blog. Would you please repost your project.. I'd hate for others to miss out on your beautiful job.
