Hawaiian Shirt Pillow

This is probably one of the easiest things I have ever done.

Do you have any old shirts hanging around that have "pillow" potential?

I found this shirt in my husband's closet the other day and thought that it might make a cute pillow for the playroom.  All you do is cut the shirt to the size you need and hem the top and bottom leaving enough room to put the pillow through.  Then stitch up the opening.

The beauty is that you can easily unbutton the cover and throw it in the wash.

I would love to see preppy pillows made with oxford weaves in solids and pinstripes.  You can find shirts at the thrift store for a dollar or two.  The possibilities are endless.

Very cute! My daughter loves the beach; I might spruce up her room with some of these. I wonder if a child's bathing suit could be stuffed that way too? Hmmm....
Have a great day.

Oh that is so cute! I have tons of those "bad Hawaiian shirts" that would make GREAT pillows. Now, I'm a bit nervous, because I've never sewn anything! I do, however, have a brand new sewing machine that I got for my bday. Maybe this will have to be my first project. I may be emailing you for some "hand holding"!!
