Is it just me or have you been noticing blue doors lately too?

Thanks for the eye candy this morning! I am loving all these! Hope your having a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOurs is burgundy. But out house siding is sort of a slate blue. If we had tons of money laying around I'd love to some of these fresher colors. Love these pictures!
ReplyDeleteOurs was a hideous green when we moved in, I painted it black, then I painted the sidelights black ~ hated it~! Painted the sidelights white again, painted the door red...I think I am happy now...
ReplyDeleteI think...
Have a great day! Great photos and inspiration....hmmmmmmm....
Lou Cinda :)
Mine is REd currently.. but those blues are so soothing!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep talking everyone, I love hearing about your front doors. Hmm, maybe we should have a front door linky party?
ReplyDeleteThose blue doors really do stand out - thanks for the pics!
ReplyDeleteMy house is what my children dubbed 'smurf blue' and my door is a rustic deep red. Loving the blues as it's my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteI love these blue doors. I might have to get the paint back out! I painted mine a bright green a couple of years ago and before that I had it bright pink. It might be time for a change to blue! My cottage is yellow. I love color!

That last photo was an inspiration to me. I couldn't use light blue though for my door because it would clash with the trim. So I used a color called Meadow Mist. It's more of a minty green, I guess. I like it! I love blue doors. I was going to do a post about them awhile back but couldn't find as many nice pics as you have. :)
ReplyDeleteOur front door is boring old white. I've tried to think of a better color but it's' hard with our brick exterior. I love that seafoam green/blue door you showed, maybe it's time for a change! My sister's door is salmon colored and it rocks!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
Wonderful pics! So inspiring. My door is a plain, boring white, but thinking of doing something crazy with it. I love, love, love all the pics you posted.
ReplyDeleteCurrently my front door is red but I'm getting bored with red and that blue is truly looking appealing! I was thinking of going black but I think it is to dark for my house. Guess I'll have to get some swatches and try out some colors.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely...we are building a new old farmhouse...white siding, black roof, rows of slender 2 over 2 windows, full length front and back porch...and the loveliest thing about it...is the 8 foot reproduction front door that we are painting BLUE (about the shade of the 4th door in your post)!!! So nice to see others like it as well!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing..just lovely!!

Mine is green but I'm painting it 'wrought iron' by Martha Stewart this weekend! It's a beautiful midnight blue that I lurrrrve :)
ReplyDeleteI'm getting ready to paint mine yellow, but isn't it fun to see all of these colored doors out here? I'm thinking trend. How about you? :)
ReplyDeletePam @ Becolorful
Mine is wooden. Boring. Love those photos!

I think you are right Pam. We are going to see more color everywhere.
ReplyDeleteMy front door is blue, but I like the blue on the first door even better!
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much for the sweet comment you made on my fabric flower necklaces! I'm returning your visit and have enjoyed your delightful blog! What pretty door images! My front door is red. My college daught wants a yellow one when she ever gets a house... I hope to see you again real soon. until later...
ReplyDeleteOur door went from red to now black, but after seeing your awesome pictures....I think I should change it to blue!
ReplyDeleteWendy
There is a beautiful blue door along one of the paths I walk.
ReplyDeleteOur front door is ligh creme ~ not very exciting. I just can't seem to come up with a color that looks nice on a Tudor style home. Suggestions?
Jo
CONGRATS on the win over at LC! I'm so excited for you !!! YAY!
ReplyDeleteOH, BTW, my front door is a dark true blue. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I love evry single one of these doors.
ReplyDeleteThis post is really making me rethink my front door color. We are replacing the door and so I have been trying out paint colors on my old door before it is replaced. I was going with a black-brown but not I am rethinking that choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I am in process of refabbing my old 50's house, it is now a light gray with a med-dark blue/gray trim, front door is north so I need the right color of blue for my door. I kept originial wood door as it has 4 panels of carved flowers in it, LOVE IT, but what color blue? Feng shui says blue or black for north facing. I was going a Wine color but I love these blues, any thoughts?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annette in Tejas
I'm curious about your house and trim colors. Light gray with dark gray trim would work with a blue. It is hard to say without seeing it. Also take into consideration any flowering trees or shrubs that you have in the front yard so that they don't clash.
ReplyDeleteDo you know the color/brand of the 2md door pictured, #114? Looking for a house project for the long weekend. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteZarz, I wish I could be more help, but I haven't a clue about the colors in this post. Sorry.
