Favorite Things and Happy Weekend

Hello lovelies!!

In my spare time this week, I noticed a few things in blogland that I wanted to share.  In no particular order here goes....

Make Grow Gather was introduced to me by my Mother-in-Law who lives in the Washington, D.C. area.  MGG is often featured in the Washington Post and is quite an inspiration.  Who would've thunk it ~ black umbrella-ella-ella goes perkyLove it.  Go here to read more about the project.

Centsational Girl turns vintage towels into pretty little pillows.  Thanks to Mom I have quite a collection of vintage linens, and happen to love these cute pillows.  Could I ever take a scissor to my linens?  Only if my life depended on it, but these are adorable.  See how she made them here.

All Things Thrifty made my week with this colorful settee.  The fabric is from Joann's and I must admit that it has caught my eye several times while passing through recently.  Go here to get the full story.

Yes ~ someone else loves brass.  I knew that Destination Seaborn and I were kindred spirits.  It pays to shop in thrift stores regardless of your budget.  Seriously, you never know what you will find.  Go here to read about this $10 chandelier.  By the way, it didn't look like this when she bought it.

I love to visit Miss Mustard Seed and when I hear the words boxwood and topiary in the same sentence I become giddy.  Go here to find out how she made it.  If anyone knows how to preserve real boxwood, please contact me.

Hopefully this weekend Hubs and I will put the finishing touches on the kitchen.  What are your plans this weekend?

Wherever your weekend takes you, have a good one...

I am linking with The Inspired Room.

I think I need to make one of those pillows ~ perhaps I'll try on some fabric first. Boxwood alway makes my heart skip a beat ~ please let us know about keeping it as I'm interested as well.

Enjoy your weekend, I'm going to need that cute umbrella here in Connecticut.

What a delightful surprise to see my little brass chandy! Thanks for the bloggy love!
These are great items. I love the settee and the fabric is so delightful! MMS topiary definately caught my eye as something I would like to do!
I hope this weekend will be spent cleaning and finishing up little projects. Spring is in the air and I'm anxious to get outside. Hope you have a good one!
