The Martha Growth Chart

This is old school Martha Stewart from way back when our kids used to nap.  Mr. CV and I made these growth charts for the boys and they hang in our kitchen.  Every birthday, the boys back up to the chart and we mark their height, age, and birthday.  Throughout the year, they each like to see if they have made any more progress.  What I like about it is that if we ever move, the charts can go with us and they blend into the decor without being too obtrusive.

To get the step by step instructions to make the growth chart go here.
The monogram initials also came from Martha and I found those here.

Hello Rene~I've just strolled in for my first visit...I've enjoyed taking a peek around. Your blog is so beautifully inviting. We share similar tastes for so many of the same creative design elements.
I can't wait to someday have grand babies to chart their stages of growth. I did for my sons, but ti was marked on the wall and has since been painted over, (sigh). I will use something permanganate like this next time.
It's wonderful how inspiring blog friends as yourself can be, that's why I love returning the gesture, by sharing cooking or DIY ideas too.

I've bookmarked you in my favs.
I look forward to coming by your charming blog again.
Come by for a visit. Your company would be nice.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

I so wish we had done this instead of in the laundry room! Every time I use a spray bottle for stains I seem to hit the trim where my husband wrote the measurements! I told him, but hey he's a guy, lol!

These are beautiful - we have one chart that the whole family marks it on and we have moved it from house to house! I love it!

I love this! Can I post this at my blog? I'm keeping it more as a record for myself but being military, I have so many friends with children that have no truly mobile way to keep height from house to house. Yours look so beautiful! By the bye, I've been a long time lurker, but never a poster. Thank you for your writing, I've always enjoyed it!
