When I planned the 8th grade dance, I didn't go it alone. There is a group of us who have been volunteering together for many years now and we not only know how to throw a good party for the kids, but we manage to have a lot of fun ourselves.
So of course once you plan an event for the school, you then have to get together later to discuss it, wink. Does this image say "Annie get your gun" or is it just me? My friend never misses an opportunity to be front and center in a photo. When I mentioned how cute the garden was and that I wanted to take a picture, Lynn immediately ran to the tool shed and grabbed the first tool she could find. Such a ham and don't you love those boots?
So what are your plans for the weekend? I want to finish this project. After putting up grass cloth on a few shelves, I just had to style them to see where this whole thing was going. I must admit, that at first glance and a rough first attempt at styling, I likey.
Wishing you a flower filled weekend with lots of laughs and lemonade.

Rene, you have such an eye for beautiful things! Your hydrangea are stunning, I love the picture of the blossoms in the simple glass jar. Your friend Lynn is a riot, what a great picture of her! heehee! Happy weekend, and wishing you TONS of laughs and lemonade!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI take no credit for these pretty hydrangeas. They belong to my friend Donna as does the vegetable garden. Her yard is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove the shelves and your friend's boots! Have a great weekend! My weekend looks like yard sales, farmers market, pancake breakfast and painting chairs!

I think your shelves look great. I love grasscloth. That's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteOkay - I need a step-by-step with more details. I do believe I need grass cloths on MY shelves! Are you planning to post more about those shelves, soon?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Cute pic of your friend and I am loving the grasscloth and your arrangement. Hmmmm, I may need to copy you on this one and add it to my bookcase in the sitting room. I hate the plain back of it. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteYes, I will be posting more soon. I didn't want the paper to be permanent, so at first I tried using two sided tape which failed. Then I moved on to my hot glue gun...worked like a charm. Just measure, cut, and glue. Over.and.over.
ReplyDeleteThat shelf is perfection!
ReplyDeleteLove the grass cloth idea! They look great!
ReplyDeleteFun post. Have a happy weekend!

Love the grass cloth in the book shelves and your shelf arrangements look great, too. The picture of the jar of blue hydrangeas is too wonderful for words!
ReplyDeleteYour friend cracks me up! And, that garden looks pretty impressive - Peter would be a very happy rabbit to find that garden! Your bookshelves look lovely....how exciting! I love grasscloth! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe book shelves are so perfect!
ReplyDeleteOf course you have to "discuss" how things went after any big event like the dance! And I love the pic of your friend with her boots and saw! Your stylish shelves look wonderful and those hydrangeas look beautiful in your mason jar. I have a jar just like it and love to put flowers in it!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!

Oh Rene...the grasscloth is the perfect addition to your bookcases! Can you believe that we had grasscloth hung in our California condo in 1981? I love that it has made a comeback. I would love to have it my entry...I love the texture and warmth it adds to a space! Your styling is perfection!
ReplyDeleteYour friend is a doll! What a great pic! Love her boots...just tooooo cute!
Enjoy!
