Happy Labor Day

Sending happy thoughts your way!  I hope the holiday weekend has been kind to you - you deserve it, because you have been very kind to me.  We have been in the mountains with temperatures dipping into the 40's at night and only reaching the 60's by day.  Just so you know, this makes me feel like a kid again.  Also, September is the month to watch shooting stars.  Picture us all bundled up in the chair swing on the bank of the New River watching shooting stars.

This time of year is a bit sad for me - the finality of another summer with our boys.  They are growing up before my eyes.  That's life I suppose.

Good-bye sweet summer.  I will miss you, but I am ready for boots, Friday night football, flannel pj's, nights by the fire, pots of chili, freshly baked cookies, and lots of snuggling.  Summer, please do stop by next year and bring plenty of pretty flowers.

    8. I'm ready for Fall, too. Living in Alabama, we get more than our fair share of heat. Fall is "where it's at," as far as I'm concerned! Bring it on.

    12. I happen to love summer and this year we just didn't have much of one in Southern California...it was quite cool through the summer months. Having said that, I have a feeling late September and October might be very warm. But I know soon I will also be looking forward to fall. I really do love the fall colors and crisp air. And,
of course things like pumpkin pie!
