Having a Monday
I am so thankful for the wonderful holiday weekend that I shared with my family. We ate too much and did absolutely nothing and it was perfect. After several days of doing nothing, I must admit that I am ready to get back to the gym and push my body bit. And that is exactly what Mr. and I did this morning.
Now, I'm having a Monday. My Picassa is full and I purchased more space last night, which thankfully was only $5, but it hasn't updated yet. Supposedly it takes 24 hours. Seriously? What would take it so long I wonder - in this world of instant everything.
Anyway, I had a different post planned today. I was going to finally share my black bathroom with you. After I uploaded one picture my album was full. So maybe tomorrow...
In case you are wondering about the shelves, I have been tweaking the shelves again - the ones that are lined with grass cloth - and now after seeing the shelves above, I really like a white background. Unless you can talk me down from the bridge, I might put the yank on the grass cloth.

By the way, thanks to everyone who has left comments about my table runner. You all are so sweet! If you haven't entered the giveaway, it's not too late. Oh and another thing, I started an Etsy shop over the weekend. Yes, I got a wild hair and did it. As of now, there is only one thing in it, but hopefully, I will be adding more. Any suggestions?

Your not alone with the going back to the gym after gorging all weekend Monday! I had to force myself to make a healthy breakfast instead of eating pie for breakfast! I wouldn't even let myself put cheese in my veggie scrambled eggs and I LOVE cheese! I will be trying to work off the poundage I know I gained this weekend, after I drop off my little one at preschool.
ReplyDeleteI like both ideas for the shelving...that is going to be a hard decision!!
Good luck with your etsy shop, the hardest part is starting!!
I use Picaso. I didnt know we could purchase additional space. The clean lined lucite chair is quite nice.

I have heard others say that they had to purchase from Picasa. I am surprised I haven't had that happen yet. It will happen at the worst time I am sure. I love your grasscloth backed shelves as you know. That gave me the idea for the burlap in mine.
ReplyDeleteAll those shelves are awesome but yours with the grass cloth are great too! If you do get the wild hair and rip it out and it comes off in big sheets throw it my way (I never bought grass cloth to do mine at the lake).
ReplyDeleteFunny because just this weekend I was wondering if I had somehow missed the black bathroom reveal. Can't wait to see it!
Love your Etsy shop item!!
I'm also having a Monday and can only hope to have my post up by noon :) It's so hard to be motivated after a long break. . .
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your Etsy shop! May you sell millions of burlap runners :) Can't wait to see what you add.
The grass cloth is so pretty but I am not one to say no to change since I constantly do it over here! :) Love all the photos and love that table in the last pic! Congrats on the Etsy shop! I am going over to take a peek!
ReplyDeleteI so need to start to workout!!! :)
That is the problem with making decisions...because then you see a picture of something you like better!!! Which is why I can do other homes and not finish mine!!! And by the way, that happened to me on Thanksgiving and had to pay $5.00 for more pictures also. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteHa, I had to purchase more space, it didn't quite take 24 hours, but slowed me down for a few minutes! Glad you had a great break!

glad you had a nice thanksgiving, and were back to the gym today... that always helps you feel better. i'll take your bathroom whenever you are ready to share it- no worries! as for the shelves.... i like the grasscloth and it makes them unique and fits your style well... very natural.
ReplyDeleteand you are entitled to a case of the mondays every once in a while. :)
So glad you had a great relaxing long weekend. So hard to get back to real life, right? Congrats on your Etsy shop--so excited to see what you add there! And I vote NO on pulling the grasscloth!
ReplyDeleteoh, wow. No idea you had to eventually get more space . . I wonder when I will get that sweet message! Monday over here as I am out of coffee and it's taking a toll ;) Hard to get back into it all. How exciting about your etsy shop. Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a Monday too! I'm so happy you opened an Etsy shop...congrats!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
Your post made me laugh - mine are light and I was thinking it would be fun if I changed to a dark background! :) I might try a mock-up with some black construction paper.
ReplyDeleteI've been dying to see the bathroom!!
All the shelves are beautiful but yours with the grass cloth are wonderful too! Very exciting about your Etsy shop. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHugs
The shelves are wonderful as they are! And an Etsy shop...can't wait to see what you will have!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Can't wait to see the bathroom tomorrow!! Yahoo! And, we did the exact same thing - NOTHING over the break. I felt guilty the entire w/e, but it was so nice! And, congrats on your etsy shop....you go girl!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Etsy shop...and I just have to say isn't it funny, that once we finish a project, we go on and undo another...just sayin:) I am the SAME way! I can't wait to see the bathroom....Hope the MOnday gets better:)
ReplyDeleteI had to buy additional Picasa storage space a few months ago, and it updated within 5 minutes. Strange. And I love your shelves the way they are, but I know I'll love them no matter what you do with them!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on opening your Etsy shop, Rene! Your runner is beautiful. I, too, am having a hard time getting motivated after the long holiday weekend. It was nice being able to relax, visit with family and friends and eat. I'm glad you were able to have a nice break.
ReplyDeleteWait? What? Picasa has a maximum free capacity? Yikes!
ReplyDeleteLove the grass cloth in he book shelves. I vote to leave it! :-)
