One day last week, I took on a project not sure how it would turn out. We have this old buffet piece that Mr. and I picked up more than twenty years ago at an auction for $45. Has it been that long? Seriously? This piece has been several different colors over the years and finally ended up with a poorly applied coat of black that has been there since the boys were born.
With all of the black and white that is going on in our kitchen, I felt like we needed a different color.
I decided to go with Sherwin Williams, rosemary and love it.
I'm also glad that I didn't rush out to buy new hardware. Instead, I used twinkle, thanks to one of my readers, and the original brass cleaned right up.
I like the way the new green makes the walls appear less green and more taupe.

Rene, this piece is great! I love the color. It's so nice to see some color coming back in our homes after all the white. I bet you smile every time you walk past it now. I recently painted a chest that I had had for years and never did anything with. Now I love it all over again and it makes me smile each time I see it.
ReplyDeleteRene, I love it of course you know I love green. It looks fabulous. That is quite a change!

Love the new rosemary color, especially in this room. Didn't mind the black though...I would have thought that was how it came as an antique if you hadn't told us otherwise...too tough on yourself cause the paint job was fine ;) Fondly, Roberta
