Stockings
The last stocking was made and hung yesterday. I'm pretty sure that I reinvented the wheel when I made them, but am very pleased with how they turned out. By the forth stocking, I had it all figured out and went on to make a few for the Etsy shop (now that we are looking beyond the season and are ready to place our orders for the spring vegetable garden).
Stop by Monday for the Holiday Tour of Homes if you get a chance.
Have a great weekend!

Very cute, I love the fourth one!
ReplyDeleteI usually read your blog through Google Reader. Lately your posts have been truncated with directions to come straight to your site to read full posts, get links, etc. It's terribly inconvenient. Is there a reason you transitioned away from supporting readers?
ReplyDeleteI like your blog, but clicking through to see if I'm interested in reading a full post isn't really worth it and I'm considering unfollowing at this point.
Your stockings look great!

ReplyDeletenikinikinine, thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. I never use reader and had no idea this was happening. After checking the settings and making some changes, I think the problem is fixed. Please let me know if there are any more problems.

thanks for looking into this so quickly! I'll let you know if it's still an issue after your next post.
ReplyDeleteI just love them Rene!! The fabric is beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteRene, love the stockings. I was going to make some and never got to it. Of course I don't sew much and it takes me forever to make just one. I need to do it more so it comes easy to me. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove your stockings. I don't sew but my mom does, so she sweetly helps me out.
ReplyDeleteThey look just right!! Janell
ReplyDeleteOMG, Rene, these are great! I so love a stylish stocking -- since so many are tacky. Love the burlap one with greek key top! I'm going to make some for the family this year. Wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteI have such a soft spot for handmade stockings. I think this is a really nice touch to warm up your holiday mantle. Thanks for sharing yours with us!

ReplyDeleteRene, they're great!! You're so talented......
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Rene! I love the simplicity and elegance of these. You are so talented! Along, with having classy taste, too. Are the first two made out of burlap or another fabric?
ReplyDeleteThey look fabulous. I am envious. I need two and haven't gotten up the nerve! Excited for Monday's home tours!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! I love that they're simple yet with a little decorated pop!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to you and yours!
xo
Your stockings really look great, Rene!
ReplyDeleteI love them. I have a holey, very old quilt that may one day be recycled as stockings if it ever ceases to be useful.
ReplyDeleteRene,
ReplyDeleteThese stockings are gorgeous! I especially love the burlap.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Just discovered your blog by way of Kim at Southern Saavy Style. I really like the simple but elegant look you have going here. I also really like the unexpected color pops with the large lights. I'm looking forward to linking to your party tomorrow. I'm a new follower.
