k.f.d. designs (tutorial)
When I see the colors Kristen uses it makes me want to take more chances with color.
Her bedroom is amazing and if you haven't seen her blog, prepare to be inspired.
Every post leaves me wanting to start a new project.

ReplyDeletemonograms make me smile!
ReplyDeleteI've been checking out these tutorials for the past 45 minutes. Okay I say this all the time but this is one project I really am going to do! My question is: how many monograms can one house have?
ReplyDeleteoh goodness. that last picture is perfection. i love how the colors just pop and work with each other. I can see why you like it!
ReplyDeletewoo hoo! thanks for posting these :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE that last lamp and the colors in there are beautiful!!! Have fun, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteI really love a good monogram too--there's something so gracious and nostalgic about it. I wasn't aware of that monogram-preview site--that is very cool! Thanks for sharing!!

ReplyDeleteAll of these photos are so beautiful and inspiring Rene. I especially love the last photo - all that color reminds me of Spring! Off to check out the site you linked to...
ReplyDeleteI love monograms too, and my daughter just got monogrammed bedding for her apartment! I think a monogrammed lampshade is a wonderful idea. I've always wanted monogrammed sheets!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
I blame my 80s upbringing on my love on monograms! Still can't get enough. That lamp shade is darling. So cute for a kids room. I really want to give it a try. Not sure I have a steady enough hand or sharp enough sissors, but she sure made it look doable! Thanks for sharing!

Great DIY!

Love monogrammed Euro shams...need some of my own for our master bedroom!
ReplyDeletei love that lampshade!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE that last shot!!! The colors, the lamp, the monogram! The last thing I monogrammed, I used my Silhouette to make a frame with a "T" inside and I ironed it onto a ruffled bag to share with my girls when we go to the library. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the monogram on Shannon's lamp shade....her blog is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletebeautiful and inspiring. hugs to you, Rene
ReplyDeleteI want to do a big one on the glass wall in between my shower and bathtub. I'm just worried about cleaning the wall since we have hard water, and the associated deposits make a mess of everything.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing - I've been in <3 with monograms for quite a while. I found out that when doing a couple's monogram (both people in the same one), the woman's initial typically goes on the left. I don't know why, but that surprised me...
ReplyDeleteI love this Rene! It is the inner prep I think. My friend in Portland once emailed me to ask why her mother-in-law from North Carolina insists on monogramming all the things she sends to Portland. I told her just to pipe down, make some Bruswick Stew, and enjoy how it looks! : D
ReplyDeleteI think it's my inner prep as well! I LOVE a good monogram. That first bedroom is unreal. Can't wait to check out the blog. All darling examples.
ReplyDeleteHi Rene, Being a true Southern gal I love anything monogrammed. I am on my way to check out the monogram preview site. I love all the fresh colors in these rooms.

ReplyDeleteI am quite the one for monograms. When I saw KFD's pillows, I immediately wanted to go out and make one. Except I didn't have a printer. What a great round up.
