The Dining Room Details

Thank you to everyone who has left nice comments about the dining room!  Many of you had questions so I thought a re-cap was in order.  Prepare for a very hi-low mix.

Paint colors:

Wall - Sherwin Williams, sensible hue (6198) in eggshell
Trim - Valspar white in semi-gloss
Below chair rail - Valspar white in eggshell

Dining Chairs:

You can read the before & after here.

Botanical Prints:

Frames - Walmart (I think they were $5 each)
Prints - Vintage Printables (free)

Curtains:

Ikea - Ritva  $29/pair.  Cotton, washable.  Love.  (They even come in orange.)

Sideboard & Lamps:

These were a gift and came from a local antique mall.

Bamboo Mirror:

The Re-Store - painted BM black

Milk glass & compotes are available here and here.

The decanter is available here.  The gold rimmed glasses will be listed very soon.

I think that does it.  Let me know if you have any more questions.

Did the flowers come from your garden? They are lovely in this room!

Andie, the flowers did come from our garden. The pink ones are lenton roses (hellebores) and the white ones we call snow drops. I love this time of year for fresh flowers!

Amazing!

I think the details show just how much one can do on a great budget.

What are your thoughts on the Rivta curtains?

I personally LOVE mine.

Beau-tee-ful!! I adore how you can pull together a room, Rene.
And I can't believe you are already bringing in flowers from your garden!! I need to move down there - it snowed here on Monday for goodness sake! Just keep posting pictures of your lovely flowers and I'll make it through to spring.

Love the whole room! Very nice. I must ask about the chandelier. It is gor-ge-ous. Do you mind sharing where you got it from?

Rene, this re-cap is so helpful...seems like I need to make a run to my local Habitat Re-Store in hopes of finding an awesome mirror like yours! Again, this room looks spectacular!

This is gorgeous, Rene! Dying over those lamps.. where did you get those gorgeous shades?

Rene said...

Libby, the chandelier is from Elite Bohemia and can be ordered from Illuminations of the Triad (336-996-2424). Can shipped anywhere in the country/world.

Kim, the shades came with the lamps and they are beginning to show their age, but I love the quirky pagoda flips on the corners. So for now they are staying.

Beautiful! Stunning! Gorgeous! I like that you've mixed things that you've had and items you've purchased and that are very budget friendly. The crowning jewel is the touch of glitz on your ceiling which I think tops your room off perfectly. The drapes are beautiful and I can't believe the price. I have to pick up a few things at Ikea this weekend and am adding these to my list. Your painted chairs are lovely, too. Great job, Rene.
