Thought I would share a peek at the dining room progress. Because of all of the painting, etc. I am behind on blog reading and follow up. I hope you understand.
Yesterday I finished painting the wall below the chair rail white. It was really difficult to chose a wall color for the top of the wall with the bottom still painted the old color. So yesterday I hunkered down and just went for it. Now my decision is confirmed to go with Sherwin Williams, sensible hue. You can see it on the back wall. I purchased these curtains last weekend from Ikea and am surprised with the quality and weight. The curtains come with self hem tape which I still need to do.
This is for all of my friends who say, "Rene, you never have a messy house". Here is living proof that yes, I have a messy house. Shipping and receiving, homework, rock band sold on ebay still waiting for payment grrr, ironing, and cheese by the pound. It's all here.
Have a great day!

It looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat progress, Rene. Love the chair rail and color.

Love the subtle color combination, very sophisticated, calming and beautiful. Love your mess, I have a few of these going on myself these days! That would make a post...I've been really behind in blog reading, missed seeing what you have been up to! Janell
ReplyDeleteI need to pull out the paint, too. My trim could definitely use a fresh coat. Love the paint color you chose. It'll look so light and fresh when the room is done. Thanks for keeping it real with the mess on the floor.
ReplyDeleteRene, it's going to look great! I just got those curtains too, in the beige/linen colorway and I was super impressed too. Also got them for my client. They are now my go-to curtain for sure. In fact I may need more for here...
ReplyDeleteyou are so good at choosing the right subtle colors- love how it is coming along! and i must clarify that there is a difference between work in preogress and actual mess. that is NOT a mess, rene. :)
ReplyDeleteRene, it looks awesome... and if it looks this good in mid-makeover, well than wow, I can't wait to see it all done!!! So exciting! ~Stacey
ReplyDeleteRene, that color looks so close to what I am doing in the kitchen. Yep, the green is leaving. My house is a mess, too it's just part of it. Enjoy painting!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the final reveal Rene! I know it will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRene just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing your mess, because I am sitting in the middle of one right now!

Looking good!:)
ReplyDeleteThis is coming along beautifully! I especially adore your chairs with their striped seats! Isn't it funny how people perceive the messes of others...? Maybe you should host a "Blogger's Messy House" party and see who takes the cake!
