Container Gardening & a Winner

Each spring I get so excited about planting flowers and planning new container combinations.  I usually fill pots by the front and back doors with annuals for a colorful welcome.  Out of curiosity I took this quiz to see if anything struck my fancy as far as containers are concerned.  There were only a few questions to answer about my preferences, sunlight, gardening experience, etc.  Then I received the recipe for this.

This urn contains:

I can't wait to see how they look in a couple of weeks.  So have you already planted your containers?  If you haven't and are looking for ideas, you might want to take the quiz too.

  8. Your container garden is so pretty! I tend to go with super cheap plants, for my containers. I'm constantly forgetting to water them so they're always needing replacing. CG has more of the green thumb around here. Someday, I hope to have that same green thumb and be able to have pretty containers like yours. Thanks for sharing.

  9. I am so sad that I have a million things to do today because I want to be out pulling weeds after all of the rain we have had. I love helichrysum and bacopa in the front of my pots. I have yet to start but hopefully this weekend.

  17. Hi Rene,

This container is beautiful!! I can't wait to plant my containers for this summer. I have enjoyed reading your blog for several months now; there's always something interesting and I love your dog posts. I'd love you to visit my blog if you have a chance. I've done several tablescapes, which I really enjoy, but I'm looking forward to doing some gardening posts and some recipes as well.

We lived in Greensboro for the first 8 1/2 years of our marriage, in the Lake Daniel neighborhood. I still miss all those wonderful parks! Our son is in college in Greensboro, and I've done a few posts about the city. I'm sure I'll do more as time goes on. It's fun to visit our son and see how much things have grown and changed. Have a great week.
