Yesterday, I found another fabric that I love even more than these. It is a chartreuse with white flowers and I have a side table in the kitchen that I would like to paint peacock blue. My computer isn't co-operating or I would share a picture of the swatch with you. What do you think? Do any of those fabrics speak to you?

Rene, when I saw your tweet, I KNEW you mentioned my roller shade project! I really think that thing was out to get me from the very beginning!

ReplyDeleteI like fabric #2. I think you might be happier with a Roman Shade. If you are going to open and close it a lot, the roller shades durability comes into question.
ReplyDeleteThe industrial cottage, I'm not a fan of roller shades either, but these will not be opened and closed at all which is why I'm considering a roller shade.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are 2, 3 & 5. Think #1 will make you dizzy while you wash dishes. Love the picture of Lakeitha's shade....too funny. That's the way a majority of my projects turn out....this is the reason I do not yet have a blog!

I'm looking for a new curtain of something for my kitchen too but don't think my window is long enough for a shade. Can't wait to see what you decide. I always love what you do to your home.

I gotta go check out that funny post! I say fabric 5 or that one you didn't share. Just because the color sounds great with the peacock blue you want to use. Black and white will allow the other colors to stand out :)You have a beautiful kitchen! Can't wait to see it with the shades!

#2 without a doubt! What a beautiful moire-type print! And I appreciate that you are being realistic in terms of time and practicality. If a roller shade would suit your needs best, go for it! I'm sure it will be gorgeous and we'll all learn so much from your (future) tutorial.

Beadboard back splashes are so classic and add a wonderful inviting feel to a kitchen. Great choice! I hope you will share the open shelving when you are done. It all sounds beautiful!
Now wonder I make this a daily stop, I leave inspired!

My favorite it the graphic stripey yellow fabric -- the first. It would look so punchy and fun and bright in the kitchen. And it's different than anything I've ever seen. On the other hand chartreuse with peacock blue sounds pretty amazing too!
