The Shades Are Up & a Pillow Discount

Do you ever finish a project that was so easy and makes such an improvement that you wonder why you didn't do it sooner?  If you are considering making the shades, I say go for it.  Here is a little peek and a window covered in pollen.

I wasn't happy with the placement of the brackets and plan to move them today.  Once they are in the right place, I will show the whole window.

Doesn't she look annoyed?  This is the face that watched over me while tackling the project.  Mattie Gray could not understand why I wouldn't let her in to curl up in the middle of the roller shades.

  6. Looking forward to seeing the entire window. I have had many projects which I have put off thinking they wre too complicated or would take a large amount of time. Once they were finished I was saying to myself - why did I wait so long!

  21. I love your fabric Rene, I need to make shades for my kitchen BAD. I'm a little intimidated about making them. Mattie Gray is so cute. She reminds me of mine who is always getting in the middle of my projects :).

  22. Your shade looks beautiful, Rene! A wonderful job! I love the color and the vine pattern of the fabric really looks nice against the vines you have growing outside. Very pretty. Mattie Gray is such a doll. My guy, Lars, has to always be in the center of whatever project I am working on and I know that look all too well when they need to be "excused" for a time.

  23. Thanks for the sneak peak. I love the shade and bet it brightens the whole space. Too bad it didn't brighten Maddie Gray's mood.
