Canvas Photos & Five Minute Projects

Family photos are a great way to capture family trips, milestones, or simply a moment together.  Just between you and me, our photo sessions don't always go as planned.  But, when they do why not take the opportunity to do something fun or off beat to show some personality.  Like these next few images for example....

Design Sponge

I also like the idea of photographing a pet or a garden element like these...

One of my absolute favorites it this pair from Green Street.

Easy Canvas Prints, is now offering 20% off all canvas and free shipping.  Plus when you order $60 or more you get a free 8 X 10.  With graduations, weddings, and vacation just around the corner there will be lots of photo op.

Now that the kiddos are out of school, if you are like me, projects come to a halt - or at least move at a slower pace.  My friend Courtney from A Thoughtful Place has featured five days of five minute projects for people just like us who need to create and do it in a hurry.  Today she shared one of  my projects (if you want to call it that).  Lots of great ideas - you can check out the series here.

  1. oooh I just love this idea of the extra large canvas instead of several smaller pictures!!! So modern!

  2. I am in absolute LOVE with the first image. Seriously good. I am the opposite-- we only really hit our rhythm when school is out--mostly because I seriously wear my kids out at the pool and they take 3 hour naps every day...

  3. Wonderful project ideas Rene. I love being surrounded by family photos and a large one on a canvas would be even better.

  4. What a great offer! My husband took some beautiful beach photos of the surf and sunrise here in HH. This would be a great Father's Day gift for him. Thanks!

    Have a great weekend!

  11. I love having photo canvases made. They're the perfect gift. Thanks for showcasing so many terrific examples! This'll be my first summer blogging, so I'll see how it goes, though I suspect I'll experience a slowdown, too. Thanks for sharing.

  13. Love this idea! I love the clean look of a large canvas on the wall, it feels more modern. The canvas of the family's legs on the stairs is so cute. Happy weekend, Rene.

  14. Rene, you are showcasing some very fun and inspirational ones! I have one large canvas with the kids (will be fun to put in the guest rooms when they return to the family home as adults), but you inspired me to go through my mountains of photos and find something with a lot humor!

Happy weekend to you! (I am back after a whirlwind trip to Sweden. You will see a lot more of me from now on).
