It seems like everyone finds great things on craigslist except me. Well, the other day I scored a pair of these mirrors for a steal. Where will I put them? Truth be told, I didn't need them, wasn't looking for them, they just found me and started calling my name.
Rene. Rene. Look at me. I come in a pair and only cost $20. Surely you can find a place for me. Rene.
My initial thoughts are to paint them either gold or white. Also, maybe it is the libra in me, but I love pairs and especially love symmetry. Here are a few images that have me thinking.

ReplyDeletegreen with envy
Guuuuurrrlll-- you better back up offa my thrifting space!
ReplyDeleteHaha-- those are amazing. Glad your faith in the god of Craigs has been restored.
Wow! Talk about a Craigslist score! Love the mirrors! I actually like them as is, but could see how a shot of spray paint might make them really come alive. Can't wait to see where you use them.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I can't wait to see where you put them. I'm in desperate need of a pretty mirror. maybe I should start looking at craigs list here to see if it's better than my last town.
ReplyDeleteLove them:)
ReplyDeleteI would leave them just they way they are and hang vertically on a small wall:)
Great find!!!
i know where you could put them! you could put one above each of my nightstands.... here in maryland.... ;)
ReplyDeletethose are AWESOME!
Im gushin green as well. I love them !I put mine over my bed in sort of diagonal way but cant wait to see what you decide .How awesome that you got two!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat find! Wow! Also loving that last picture, that bedroom is fabulous! I'm a Libra too maybe this explains why I like things to be even. Can 't wait to see what you do with these!
ReplyDeleteLove those, Rene! I've been looking for a set of 3 small to go over our bed. I love the way they look over the nightstands.
ReplyDeleteHi Rene! I'm one of Rebecca @ GibbGabb's friends and read your blog often! I had to comment because those are such an amazing find!
ReplyDeleteThen, I almost choked on my poptart {yes, I still eat those} when I saw today's post on The Inspired Room. Scroll Down to the 5th picture, it's your mirror!
If They were mine, I'd probably leave them how they are and hang them vertically for now, knowing that I will change my mind in the future and end up painting them one day, maybe even adding some Rub 'n Buff to keep the metallic finish instead of paint!
Wow that is a great deal. I love the look of aged mirror!
ReplyDeleteIt always seems to work that way...can't find what you need, buy what you don't. Haha, but those mirrors are too cool to pass up! Love the Decor Pad inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a lucky duck! Those are great. I personally like them in their current finish, but I think they'd also look great in white. Gold has definitely made a comeback, though, so I'll be surprised if you don't go with gold. :)
ReplyDeleteLucky girl! I adore those mirrors and love a pair of anything. Did I know you were a Libra? Me too! Must be why we are both so sweet and charming and stylish ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou will not regret that purchase! I love mirrors stacked vertically. (like in pics 1 & 3) But then again, they look great behind side tables too:) Have fun with 'em!
ReplyDeleteWOW nothing like starting something with a bang! Great find. I love them.
ReplyDeleteI think you should use them like in photo #2 or #3. I also think they would look fabulous outside if you have a space for them.
The last room shot is gorgeous!!

Yes, never ignore that little voice - it knows what it's talking about!
ReplyDeleteGotta love Craigslist, what a bargain! My favorite is the symetrical look above the nightstands, I think they'd look great above yours.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find!! And a pair no less!
ReplyDelete$20?? You are kidding! I love the idea of them stacked vertically...but in any configuration, they will look great!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is great find, Rene. The possibilities are endless.
ReplyDeleteRene -- what a total, total score. I would be thrilled with a find like that.
ReplyDeleteMy preference is the vertically placed mirrors.
What a find! I'm not sure what I'd do with them, but I know I'd find a place!!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Lori

Mirror envy! I am a sucker for hanging them vertically together right now. Such a fun look. No matter what, I love them. I think I really like their finish as is.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your great find!
ReplyDeleteYou scored!!!!
It's been awhile, I don't get around to all the blogs daily or even weekly like I used to, but I do enjoy stopping by yours when I get a chance.......
looking forward to snooping around for a while!
What a wonderful find! Actually, i love the metal frames as is, has a nice weathered quasi-industrial look.
ReplyDeleteLeave it up to Rene to find not one but two gogeous mirrors. And I think they would make such a statement as a set. I like the first picture the best. Great find Rene!
ReplyDeleteNot sure where you should put them, but I can see why the were calling your name! Nice job :)
ReplyDeleteI like the finish...kinda...sorta...industrial. Good find and I love all of the examples! I myself got some good ideas.
ReplyDeleteno way, those mirrors are awesome! I'd prob leave them just as they are. I like the idea of hanging them vertically, but something in me likes three better than two. They will look great wherever you put them!
