It's Time...

Thank you for all of your feedback yesterday about dark vs. light wall color.  I read each and every comment and took it all to heart.  One thing is certain, just because we like the way a room looks doesn't mean we want our rooms to look that way.  Thankfully we have all sorts of bookmarking options on the internet so that we can simply look at those rooms that we like but don't want whenever we need a fix.  I will either go with a white or a light gray on the walls just as soon as time allows.

In other news, I don't know if this comes from watching back to back episodes of hoarders or not, but we are having a teeny tiny yard sale this weekend.  Even though we have a clear path to the bathroom and bedrooms we feel the need to purge ;).  There are several sales in our neighborhood tomorrow so perhaps I will see one or two of you out and about.  Gotta run...

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. good luck with your yard sale! and the room color- when we move i am also going light gray on our walls. i can't wait! my walls are a white noe with ahint of gray, but i want a white furnished room with pale gray walls- that scheme is what calls to me and soothes me the most. :)

  6. Good choice on the paint color! :) We have a pale grey in our master bedroom and a dark brown/grey in our guest room. I love them both, but would get tired of the dark color if I had to see it every day.

hmmm... so should I drive down and say hi tomorrow? :) I'm only a little over an hour away (Rocky Mount, VA). Would be fun to meet a fellow blogger... :)

  8. PS, in our last house we had chocolate brown walls in our master and loved the dark color. It was so cavelike and perfect for sleeping.

  12. My son says that it's good feng shui to purge often to ensure that chi doesn't get trapped by things that have been hanging around too long without purpose. I kinda believe that, too!
