Emerald Isle
This has been quite the week this week. First came the earthquake that we felt even here in North Carolina - literally shaking our house. Then came the first day of school. And now for the hurricane. For me it is a week of letting go and watching our boys soar into the new school year.
Bitter sweet.
Next week will be a little more normal around here. Thanks for sticking around. Happy weekend!
I hear ya! We had the earthquake here too and now are preparing for this hurricane. lordy lordy! Who knew MD ever got all this?? Stay safe and have a little fun! XO
ReplyDeleteIt's an adventure! Hope you guys can cook up some fun in the house this weekend!
ReplyDeleteyou look so beautiful and stylish in that picture!
ReplyDeletei listened to the song, and i love it. i love music like that- they kind of remind me of a more mellow coldplay and i love them. one of my fave bands was vertical horizon when i was in college- from NC of course!
i hope you guys stay safe this weekend! i just got back from the grocery store getting essentials, gas, and then of course to the liquor store for some wine! :) if there is going to be nothing to do and no power, at least better have a good malbec on hand!
i know all about letting go this week.... emmy told me today she missed the old house. i told her that it would always be special to us but any house we live in together as a family with our dogs will be special to us as long as we are all together.
sorry for the longest comment ever, but i am so feeling what you are today- full of bittersweet emotions, letting go, freedom, and new horizons.
Here's to getting back to normal. You have a good looking family, and you look adorable, Rene! I love your dress.

This song is one that I sing out loud to,(thankfully no one can hear me when I do that..) it's beautiful and seems to capture the mood you are expressing. Enjoy your week-end and here's to getting back to the new normal next week, cheers!
