If you have been following my blog a while, then you know that I have recently made a few changes to our entry that include painting the walls, front door (interior), and adding a large mirror.
I first considered painting the door black, but decided against it because of the other black pieces in the room. I'm really happy that I went with blue instead because it added just the touch of color the space needed.
Enough about me - let's see your entryways.
To join in simply enter the link of the url to your actual "entry/foyer" post, not your blog url. Please keep it entryways - we will explore other rooms another time. Please link back to my blog so that others may join in too. And lastly, it is always nice to visit others at the party.
Thanks for coming & have fun!

Thanks for hosting Rene. It took me a while to get to the front entry update, but it made a world of difference to the vibe of my house, once I did.
ReplyDeleteI love your entryway mirror and the color of your door with that fantastic letter opening on it!
ReplyDeleteI'll be joining your party in a little while, it's cloudy here this morning so I'm going to see if the sun will peek out a bit before I take pictures!
So pretty, Rene and I love that picture of your son. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHow fun. Thanks for hosting this. I always love how serene I feel "in" your home.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is inspiring me to paint my from door. Deciding on a color is going to be hard. I was thinking of mellow yellow???
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Rene, I love your style! You're entry and home are beautiful! Now, I'll go check out everyone's entry!

Thanks for hosting:) Your entry is one of my favorites! This is making me want to paint the inside of my door.
ReplyDeleteYour post, Rene, and all of the other foyers other bloggers are sharing remind me that mine is downright sad! I'll have to add 'sprucing the entryway up' to my to-do list.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the blue you chose for the interior of your front door!
Thanks for hosting this link party. Although I didn't get to enter hopefully I'll be able to jump on the next opportunity. I'm getting ready to renovate a home built in 1847 and the entry is beautiful. The intricate detail of the staircase alone is amazing. Once restored it will be certainly be something to post. Thanks to all that entered. It gave me some inspiration. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rene, I'm so glad to join in today, this will be a great series. Your mirror is amazing! Love it! thanks for hosting,

I love your painted door! My little entry way is very plain at the moment but I'm looking for some inspiration in the other links here. Thanks for hosting the party!
ReplyDeleteHi Rene, I cannot join in right now, however will make visits.
ReplyDeleteI adore the large mirror, it really makes a statement and I am a mirror nut anyway!!

What a fun party idea!! I wish I had something to link up this week! Guess, I will just have to go and drool over everyone else's gorgeous entries/foyers. :-)
ReplyDeleteVanessa
i don't have any pics of my entry as is, so can't join in, but will look through! you know i love your entry and that gorgeous color on the door!
ReplyDeleteHi Renee, I just found your blog and now I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteI agree that blue was the way to go with the door. The dark hardware would not have been nearly as dramatic on a black door.

I (unfortunately) do not have an entryway or foyer--our door opens straight into our living room. :( I DO however, absolutely LOVE the inside of your front door. I really want to do this to my own door!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party, Rene! I love the shade of blue on your door...very pretty!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
LOVE the mirror! May I ask where you got it? Great idea with the soor coloe as well-very inspiring to me to spruce up my own entryway.
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying all the lovely entryways. Thanks for hosting the party. I wish I had a foyer to show, but my house doesn't have one. Lovely blog and newest follower.

I'm in love with your beautiful front door! Gorgeous color. Your large mirror is perfect for your space and what a beautiful painting! Is that one of your sons?
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Rene! It inspired me to add fresh flowers and take some new photos of our entry today. I adore the interior colour of your door and now I'm wishing mine was blue instead of black!
ReplyDeleteI've joined the party! Thanks for hosting. I'm a new follower and enjoying your blog.
ReplyDeleteHello! I am new to your blog. Your home is so pretty! Thanks so much for hosting this party. I look forward to seeing everyone's entry. Mine is so tiny.....we are foyer challenged around here!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by everybody! Jukie, the mirror came from a local store several years ago that has since closed. It was silver and I painted it black for a graphic punch. Custom Comforts, don't feel bad, my house doesn't really have a foyer either :) Allison, yes the painting is of our oldest. Mom gave us a painting of each of the boys when they were 5 and they hang on either side of the front window.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea, Rene, I love seeing how everyone does their foyers. And I adore that soft blue you painted the inside of your own front door.
ReplyDeleteThat door...just gives me the shivers every time I see it...might have to paint the outside of my door that color.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of all these lovely foyers. Our beach cottage is so small you just step into the living room.
ReplyDeleteRene,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party! I do love your foyer and the color of your front door! Can't wait to see the other foyers!
Wendy
Hi Rene, I linked my side entry stairs...now I'm motivated to finish the last little bit and share the rest of the space. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteA new follower..linking back to your site..Great linky party idea. This was my first post not so long ago.I love the large mirror by the door!
ReplyDeleteLove the hardware on the front door!
ReplyDeleteFun way to peek into everyone else's home! Thanks for hosting this party! ~ Sue
ReplyDeleteRene, I love your big mirror that you hung in your entry! The light reflects there so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteOh Rene, the power of a mirror! And it's black, which I just love. So sorry to have missed the first in your series. I thought I'd better get one project completed (kitchen) before embarking on another, but let me tell you, your party made me think and think and think about what to do, and now i have a plan, thanks to you. (Which I'm sure will change when I go and check out all of the links!)
ReplyDeleteCamille
