It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas
Over the weekend, then entire family went to work spreading pine needles and making the yard look nice for Christmas. I put the finishing touches on the front door and wondered if you would like to see it.
This year I opted for something different and instead of hanging a boxwood wreath on the outside of the door I used a frazier fir wreath.
The wreath hanger I used has a hook for hanging a wreath on the inside too so I made a boxwood wreath to hang here. I really like seeing this when I walk through the room.
The reward came at the end of the day when we all sat down to rest and enjoyed the first fire of the season. It is definitely beginning to feel like Christmas now.
The Christmas linky party is a week away. You are invited to share holiday projects, tours, and all things Christmas. I hope you can come!

ReplyDeleteLove the feeling of Christmas...and the fire makes it perfect! Take care, Caroline
ReplyDeletelove your elegant entry with the vine that curves around. also, your tv above the fireplace was good for me to see. i've been lamenting mine ever since a little duct routing issue in the building stage caused my dreams of a retractable painting covering our tv over our fireplace to go by the wayside.
ReplyDelete(found you through between you & me i think)
The black urns with holly are so pretty and I love the thought of kicking back to relax with the family - those are the greatest moments. Looking forward to your party and will be sure to link up my post!

Simply elegant...as always!
ReplyDeleteI'd be a very happy girl to sit in front of your cozy fireplace and I love the idea of putting two wreaths on the door. Did you make the boxwood ball too?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sweet comments everybody! The berries are actually nandina and acuba. We planted the acubas several years ago and this is the first year they are popping.
ReplyDeleteCamille, the boxwood orb came from Joss & Main. I only wish I could make those :)
