I am a huge fan of glass canisters for storing flour, receipts, cupcake holders, ribbon, etc. The pretty blue willow cup for scooping takes this canister to the next level. Country Living
There is much to love about this image from Made By Girl. Jewelry and necessities are beautiful when displayed this way.
A silver tray used as a magnetic board is a brilliant way to bring a vintage touch into an office space or kitchen. DIY Studio
Colorful dishes holding jewelry - an oldie, but a goodie from Martha.
I love this medicine cabinet lined with paper and am pretty sure I would smile every time I open it. The dishes holding personal items are the finishing touch. BHG
Love these clever ways to hold ribbon and craft supplies. both images: Houzz
What special things do you do to make the everyday routine a little better? I would love to know.
By the way, the "get it together" party is still open if you want to join in.

we have emmy's birthday party this weekend, but i am ready to get some of our bathroom drawers orhganized after!
ReplyDeleteI display my makeup brushes in a pretty glass container. I also got a milk glass goblet recently that I was thinking of switching them too. I also have some small earrings in a small bird dish that I absolutely love. It's fun to look at both of these things each morning as I'm getting ready. I love the photo of the jewelry display - that's next on my list.
ReplyDeleteGreat storage ideas. I need to work on my pantry - this is very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of using tea cups for storage. I was just looking at my mom's vast collection yesterday and suggested that she donate some to her daughter. :) We decided to make candles in some of them for Christmas gifts next year, but I do love them for holding jewelry!
ReplyDeleteThe teacups holding jewelry is on my list of things to do, but I'm scared my boys (or one in particular), would have a field day in my jewelry drawer!
ReplyDeleteGreat round up, Rene!
LOVE the pretty medicine chest! That is one I will remember when I hopefully get to redo my bathroom. I love your blog and all your great ideas. Your house is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove those ribbon organizers! I'm using old sewing drawers, but am being drawn to the wire one you've shown.
ReplyDeleteLove all of the ideas here! Thank you for sharing. I am going to find a blue willow cup!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.

Wonderful, wonderful ideas! Love all of them! I like to shop my house for storage. Baskets get moved around all the time and used for books, magazines, projects, underbed storage, undersink trashcans. I love to use votive candle holders (right now for paperclips and thumb tacks on my desk), vases for pens, bowls (right now for kitchen counter catch-all, coasters in the livingroom) and canisters (for everything from granola to qtips).
ReplyDeleteThese are all great. So funny. . . good timing as I am trying to add some pretty to my jewelry area!
ReplyDeleteLove all these, especially the blue cup scoop in the glass jar. And my mind is spinning with the wallpaper-lining opportunities--maybe in the medicine cabinet...
ReplyDeleteIt never dawned on my that a silverplate tray might have a magnetic base metal. I'll have to test that.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty ideas! I really love the idea of using an orphaned vintage china cup as a scoop! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could join your party, only I ain't got nuthin to share right now. In fact, when I open your blog, I kind of have to squint [like I do when watching medical shows because I CAN NOT STAND THE SIGHT OF BLOOD AND GORE] just in case there is so much organization it might make me anxious.....
ReplyDeleteI am so stealing the magnetic silver tray idea!
ReplyDeleteI love organizing with things I already own...my favorite is the one with the blue tea cup in the canister as a scoop...how adorable is that?
ReplyDeleteThese storage solutions are divine. I especially like the paper in the back of the medicine cabinet and the spools of ribbon in the straw holders! How clever. I'm a little late, but I just linked up to the Getting It Together Party! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful organization! I just bought two cute cups to use in my canisters!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I need some pretty organization in my life! Love these images!
ReplyDeleteWonderful ways to organize! Pretty makes it even better! Thanks for sharing these, Rene.
ReplyDeleteWhy did no one ever think to put a pretty teacup in a canister as a flour scoop until now? So cute!!
ReplyDeleteCamille
I really like the paper lined medicine cabinet from BHG and your closet with the wrapping paper. I am getting ready to line cabinets in my living room and dining room.
