Storage Favorites

This has been a crazy week!  It all started with a 4 day swim meet last weekend.  Then came mid-term exams and the fact that the kids are out of school two days(totally caught me off guard).  My posts have been a little "off" and will hopefully return to normal next week.

In keeping with the organization/storage theme this week, I wanted to share my favorite storage items with you.

  1. Love these boxes!  We use them to hold ipod & camera cords, school & office supplies, etc.  Ikea
  2. Pharmacy bottles are great for holding bathroom necessities.  Restoration Hardware
  3. Vintage pyrex dishes.  My go to for food storage.  They stack and store easily.  Microwave safe and are easy to clean.  Etsy
  4. Over the door storage bag.  Great for all those little things that you use often.  Easy to see through to find what you are looking for.  Think nail polish, sunscreen, combs & brushes, toys, etc.  K-Mart
  5. One cannot have too many baskets.  This style from Pottery Barn is my favorite!
  6. Jewelry Tree from Urban Outfitters
  7. Glass Storage jar.  You know how I feel about these.  World Market, but I found mine at Walmart for less.
  8. Great for underwear & socks.  Ikea
  9. Striped Bins.  The Container Store
What are your favorite storage items?

Love the Ikea boxes - we have them in orange.

We have a few of the Ikea boxes too and I love them especially for the price. My daughter has been a little rough on some of them so they haven't held up as well. And I have a big basket similar to the PB woven one that I had gotten at Homegoods that we use for toys and love that. I've been admiring those Container Store baskets for a while too - I hope to pick one of those up for our bedroom at some point. Nice round up Rene!

I'm crazy about that PB basket and may just break down and buy it because it seems baskets are here to stay! I also really like the Stockholm office boxes from Container store--they keep my craft and art supplies nicely organized.

Great ideas Rene! And wouldn't you know I am in the market for some new storage for Hannah's closet. Thanks for sharing.

I love #5 & #9 and totally agree that you can never have too many baskets. Speaking of organization I posted about my newly organized closet today! Great minds think a like! I'm loving the organization train you've been on lately... makes me want to get on it!

I'm a huge fan of the over the door shoe storage racks - I hang them with command hooks to avoid unsightly hooks peeking over the door. I've got one the door of every single plantry and closet in the house, storing everything from snacks to tools to craft supplies!

It's January, and I think we all have storage on the brain right now. I spent part of the day yesterday scheming a solution to storing my shoes somewhere other than all over the house.

Love the storage roundup... every single one! Ikea boxes are one of my favorites and I'm a fan of glass pyrex for leftovers too (no plastic in the microwave for me, although I don't know exactly why). I'll be keeping my eye out for vintage pieces now!

So cute. #9 {the striped bag} sits on the floor of my car and is a great catch all. Crazy week here, too!

I love SCOUT storage bins for the back of my car. I have one for each child's "junk". They zip up to a flat square when not in use. I also love the glass jars from Walmart. I use them for laundry detergents, ribbons, clothespins, etc. My first time commenting. Your blog is one of my favorites!

Chris, my husband is an avid bread maker and we keep his flour in these canisters. So far the flour has stayed fresh.
