Thank you for the comments about the bedroom curtains! The final score is...
gray 23 - peacock 17
The other day as I was tallying up the score, this comment came in that really got my attention.
I completely agree! To backtrack, I once posted a question about the mirrors in the room. I think some gold rub & buff will warm them up and completely change the look of the room. Once I make that change I am hoping it will be clear to me which way to go with the curtain color, but I am leaning toward gray. Thanks again for your moral support! I love having a panel of experts that I can go to for design advice and I value each and every opinion.
This week I had the opportunity to have dinner with Emily. Even though we have followed each other's blogs and kept in touch by email, we had never met in person. We had a great time talking about the things we enjoy and getting to know each other better. Emily has been so supportive of me and I was thrilled when she emailed to see if we could meet for dinner. I will also add that she is sweeter, funnier, and if you can believe it, prettier in person. Thanks for a great night Emily!
Have a great weekend!

How fun! I love Emily's style (her new office=fantastico!)-- talk about being a juggler extraordinaire! I can't wait to see how the room goes and hear about the Rub n Buff!

Thanks ya'll!!! Emily, you are in no way horrendous and I probably should have mentioned that it was a misty/rainy bad hair day ;)

i completely agree with "an urban cottage". when i looked at your curtain options, for some reason the gray didn't look quite right... although i love a good gray curtain. i think she hit it right on, everything did look a little bit cold. can't wait to see the antique gold rub and buff on the mirrors... great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm honored that my comment resonated with you, Rene. It only took me about two days to cough something up.
ReplyDeleteJust hoped I don't get blamed for ruining your mirrors if it doesn't work out! :)
Actually, I think it will be perfect!
Rub n Buff - is there anything that it can NOT handle? Agreed, it will really warm up the space. Can't wait to see how it all turns out. Liz
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you go to meet Emily! It's so great when you get to really put a live person to the blog. I can't wait to see those mirrors transformed with the rub n buff! I swear that stuff is addicting. I often find myself thinking,"Hmmmmm....maybe I should rub n buff this." ;)
ReplyDeleteSo great that you and Emily got together, you both look great!
ReplyDeleteYour room is turning out just beautifully!!The Gold Rub and Buff will make a nice difference.

You both are gorgeous! So fun you got to meet!!
ReplyDeleteThis would be the kind of decision that would drive me batty! You seem to be taking it all in stride, as part of a fun puzzle. I'm watching your decision-making process with a great deal of interest, in hopes that I can learn to live with indecision for a while . . .
ReplyDeleteHow have I never heard of that product--rub n buff? I can't wait to see the results.
ReplyDeleteI never met a gold mirror that I didn't like. How cool that you got to meet Emily! You are both gorgeous.
