Have I told you how much we enjoy bread and bread making? We do. And, as a result, the flour has taken over the pantry. I have always loved seeing canisters marching down a kitchen counter holding every day ingredients. So several months ago I scored some inexpensive glass canisters at Walmart to house our flour supply. The problem was that several of the flours looked the same and labels were needed.
Here is what I did...
I used the freebooter script font, font size 120. If you need help downloading/installing this or any font, go here.
I printed my labels onto these label sheets so that I could cut them to the size needed.
Now our flour is easily accessible and labeled.

Pretty! I keep passing up some great, huge jars I have been seeing between Chattanooga and Atlanta... but we also bake a lot of bread, maybe I should give in and make labels!

I had no idea you baked bread. What a wonderfully therapeutic hobby! I have a beautiful book on baking bread, but I've never actually done anything but quick breads. But, I do love, love looking at all the gorgeous photos!

Your home must have the aroma of freshly baked bread all day! I love that! We love bread, too, but no bread making machine in the house or my kids will eat just bread day and night. Love the canisters and the labels.

oh one other thing...you said you have been having pink cravings..hahaha...loved this. I spray painted some old planters (metal ones) pink and then planted pink flowers in them...I literally swooned. So easy and it just satisfied something deep within me. I look at the flowers every time I walk out the door!

that is a lot of flour jars! you must be one talented cook. my husband would be happy if I just cooked a meal, let alone the bread to go with it. Your labels make me want to copy cat that look, but what would I do with all that flour? ;-0

Thank you ladies, but I must confess. My husband is the expert at baking bread and I do my best to support his hobby by eating more than my share and making his flour containers pretty ;) Maybe I will post a recipe for those of you who think making bread is hard. We have a couple of favorites that really were easy and have not failed (knock on wood).

That is fantastic... Walmart canisters??? SERIOUSLY? WOW - beautiful. I love the fact that the neck of the canisters are large enough to be a measuring cup into the contents. Most canisters are to wimpy that you have to scoop it out before you can even measure it. Thanks for sharing - Jalon
As much as I love bread, especially fresh bread, I've never baked it on my own. But I do have clear canisters filled with some of our everyday items. I love them. Good for you for getting organized.

Love the way that looks! I've been thinking about moving some of my most used flours to the counter, but have been looking for just the right canisters. Do the Walmart ones have a rubber gasket?

Have you seen Martha Stewarts new line of adhesive stickers at Staples? They have these really awesome chalkboard ones in fun shapes that stick to glass just like yours- I'm dying to try them!
