Big changes are coming today...

Our painters are coming to finish a project I started last winter. Ha! I guess if I leave things unfinished long enough, we will eventually hire a professional to do the job. Painting stair cases is probably best left to a professional anyway.
We also picked up two of
these runners from Ballard when they were on deep discount. I am now channeling my inner
Casey and
Rhoda for stair runner installation. Of course this might be best left to a professional as well. Either way, I cannot wait to cover those old attic stairs with something pretty/graphic.

ReplyDeleteThis is too funny-- I've been painting our stair casing (and risers and treads) for the last two weeks. I figure what I saved there I can spend on the runner. Honestly, the casings were not that bad-- frog tape, the trick where you paint over the tape to seal it, and a steady hand did the trick. The risers were actually the hardest part by a long shot. Can't wait to see pics!!

Can't wait to see the finished result! I'm sure it will look great... especially can't wait to hear how hard it is to install the runner. That's something I've wanted to try for a while!
