I often receive emails asking about sources for my client mood boards. While I cannot give away specifics unless a client gives the OK, I can say that World Market is one of my go-to resources. There I can find things like mirrors, lamps, dishes, pillows, curtains, etc. all at a reasonable price. When I plan a room, depending on budget, I try to bring in items from many different sources to create that "hi-low" mix make makes rooms so interesting.
All items from this pretty bedroom are from World Market believe it or not. I think they have done a wonderful job of layering in textures and styles to create the collected look that we all adore.
Another favorite of mine is these block printed rugs. I would love to see them layered over carpet or area rug where you want to define a space, in front of a kitchen sink, or flanking a bed.
So tell me, what have you found at World Market lately?

Great, GREAT outdoor furniture. I'm also watching a big wooden daybed to get for our guest room-- I love that they run such good sales if you keep an eye out!
ReplyDeleteRene....WM is right beside my Kroger so I pop in about 3 times a week! I am seriously amazed at some of the awesome things they carry now......!
ReplyDeleteWM coupon for $10 off just landed in my inbox today! Can't wait to go shopping. Great source.
ReplyDeleteLOVE them! I've used the round tribal table (better size & price than West Elm), several rugs, leather reclining chairs, dining chairs, I could go on and on! Clients love the prices, too!
ReplyDeleteSo funny that you post this, because I found a fabulous looking linen-and-stud upholstered folding screen just the other day and am really dying to buy it (http://www.worldmarket.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12462583).
ReplyDeleteToo bad I can't see it's quality in person!
Rene I haven't been in for awhile, so thank you for the reminder! I have found wonderful items at World Market!
ReplyDelete....I wanted you to know...I am featuring Anita Rivera, Friend, Designer and Paper Artist with Castles Crowns & Cottages, & her Giveaway on my site!

World Market is a little out of the way for me...BUT I need to make it a point to cruise by. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLots of inspiration there! World market is FUN to explore!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week,
Donna
Can you believe I've never been to one?! Crazy I know, but the closest one to us is about an hour and 45 mins away. :(

We don't actually have a World Market store near us :( :( That's a big sad face. I would love to be able to check out their goods in person - maybe one of these days. I do have a pillow from there and very happy with it.
ReplyDeleteI love World Market, I go by every time I visit family in SC. We got our patio furniture, dining room set, and lots of dishes and accessories too, great prices!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Love their pillows especially. I only wish there was one a bit closer to home for us.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo.

I'm an (obvious) sucker for hand block printed anything- Jaipur, where I was living last year, is the capital of that textile tradition in India!
ReplyDeleteAND YES! Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was indeed the movie. Cannnnnnot wait to finally see it! So sweet of you to remember, let along leave a comment. xo
To be honest, I forget about checking in at World Market very often even though I always find something to fall in love with when I'm there. Even though there's one right here in Greensboro, I usually wind up going to one right next door to HomeGoods in Winston. They recently had their rugs on sale and I did score an adorable yellow outdoor rug (online). I love it and it's the perfect bright spot of color to my deck! Did you see my email about going to High Point? Take care!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I went right over to WM and bought 2 outdoor rugs, and 20% off!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
