As you can see, the concept uses lots of creams and whites with the warm gray walls as a back drop. The baskets, rugs, and Roman shades add a rich organic element while the metallic finishes round out the space My client is on board with the plan and is very excited to get started. She began gathering items over the weekend and will hopefully have some pictures to share with us soon. Fingers crossed.
P.S. This might just be my favorite mood board yet. I love the simplicity.

So pretty, Rene!! I love grey too:) Love how you kept it warm too with the natural textures, wood tones and bamboo blinds!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great space Rene! Love the neutrals and all the texture! I bet she loved it!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the textures and warm palette cross over between the foyer and living room. Beautiful mood board! Looking forward to seeing her finished pics. Thanks for sharing.

I love the natural woven materials and the light colors. It's not one that I imagine getting tired of. Those big seagrass baskets are my favorites!

I love that rustic coffee table paired with the traditional pieces, such a great style!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity=perfection. Love that large archway too. With that great architecture, makes sense to keep things simple in the room. Lovely job, Rene!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great Rene, and it will all look really pretty with the floors and natural light that she has coming into that room. I love the mirror and the side table.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beautiful inspiration Rene. I just met with a new client this morning and this is very much like their style. I can't wait to see the after!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Lori
Oh I love what you are drawing from for inspiration! Beautiful colors and some of the organic elements makes it look relaxed and comfortable!
ReplyDeleteI hope she will let you post her room when it is done!
I love this color palette. So comfortable but pulled together…can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm usually drawn to rooms with more color, but the monochromatic-ness of this one is so soothing and relaxing. A perfect place to unwind after a long day at work :)
ReplyDeleteOoo. I love it too. Especially the rustic coffee table with some of the more traditional elements. Love that big basket under the console table too!

That is going to be one gorgeous room! Can you tell us the pros and cons of using those bamboo blinds? I'm thinking of using those on the backside of my new house but have no experience with them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice comments everybody!
ReplyDeleteStacey, the shades add a bit of privacy unless you line them with blackout liner, then you will have full privacy. I like to use them to add texture, warmth, and a natural element to a room.
Thank you very much for sharing my living room on your blog! It is starting to come together! Propane issue put some of the purchases on hold :(
ReplyDeleteYour ideas are phenomenal and awesome! Just what I needed for my home!!
