The latest issue of Southern Living arrived just in time for our trip to the mountains last Friday. When I laid my eyes on the most recent idea house, my heart skipped a beat. I have long been an admirer of Tracery, the design firm behind the beautiful before and after farmhouse project - and they did not disappoint. I won't show you all of the pictures - just a few of my favorites.
I have officially lost count on how many different times I have poured through these images, studying every detail. And just like that, I want to return to a neutral color pallet in our home. Somebody slap me.
If you would like to see the full slide show of the tour, go here. There is also a video that goes into more detail with additional views. The house is located in Senoia, GA. and will be open for tours now through December.

Rene....I went to see it and died. It is absolutely gorgeous in every way. I didn't want to leave. That room with the gingham walls did me in.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! What a gorgeous house! I have a feeling I will be looking at those pictures time and time again for inspiration.

Love all the photos! Thank you for the link to see more, I will be headed over there in a few moments. A couple do stand out to me, the very bright and cheerful natural light entryway is just breathtaking and the black swing on the porch, would LOVE to have one of those gorgeous pieces in my home. *swoon*!
ReplyDeleteBe still my heart! GORGEOUS! By far, my favorite Southern Living issue every year.
ReplyDeleteI loved this house too! I went straight to the resources pages and discovered that the awesome tan gingham was from IKEA and only $9 a yard. It will sell like hot cakes! P.S. Your home is WONDERDFUL, don't make any rash changes!
ReplyDeletewe went to the idea house right after it opened and i was blown away too! i posted pics on my blog shortly after that but had to remove them temporarily as i believe they wanted the august issue of southern living to come out first.
ReplyDeletei plan on using the bedroom with the buffalo check pillows as my inspiration for my 2nd guestroom re-do i'm about to embark on.
thanks for sharing!
I haven't looked at the magazine but have seen and pinned a few already. Looks completely magical! Luckily, I don't live too far away so I hope I can actually see it in person.

I could so easily live in this house…..it's so beautifully pulled together, breezy, comfortable and chic. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean Rene...I am fickle like that too. But in our defense, this house could make anyone change their mind in favor of neutrals...it's really gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'd already pinned several of these amazing rooms. I want to change my decor every month when a I get a new magazine - neutral one month, bold color the next, can't stand it!
ReplyDeleteDrooling. And lusting. Completely.
ReplyDeleteHa! It is an insanely brilliant space! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou Southern folks are just so painfully chic. LOVE that gingham chair!!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing! They did a great job! It's nice to see Southern Living starting to have a lot more in it than it did for awhile and this issue definitely hit the nail on the head! Even with it's recipes! They were fabulous!
ReplyDeleteRene,
ReplyDeletewhat beautiful rooms, so my style!
Very classic and simple with a little "chippy" thrown in!

Rene, I saw the house a few weeks back and let me tell you as gorgeous as the pics are in Southern Living, they do not do the house justice. So beautiful! I have always loved Tracery's work and this is definitely no exception. I'm planning to head back there this fall with my mom.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Lori
Swoon! What a gorgeous home!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing when my issue arrived! Such a beautiful home with so much texture. I think I'm going to go look again. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteTracery never disappoints, do they? And they're so down to earth in their blog posts and writing - love their work. Thanks for sharing. I don't subscribe to Southern Living but my SIL does so I always pick up her copy.
