***THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED***
I'm big on being organized; I'm not always the best at it, but I like to know that there is a place for everything with everything in its place. Additionally, I'd like for it all to look good.
That is why I was thrilled to learn about the new product line, Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery ™ sold exclusively at Staples (both in stores and on line)! Unless you've been living under a rock, you know how organized Martha is and how amazing everything looks when it's all arranged and orderly. My excitement only grew when I was one of the bloggers chosen to receive and review the new home office collection! And just in time, with the recent changes to the office, no less!

In order for my home office to run smoothly, there needs to be order and all the little things I use daily should be organized and within reach. The Stack+Fit™ system is perfect for corralling those little things that tend to get lost on a desk. The system is completely customizable so you can have the exact size and configuration you want. Each piece is designed to fit perfectly atop or alongside (sometimes inside) the rest. The Shagreen finish is pretty enough to display anywhere. By the way, I'm also really enjoying the lined sticky notes for reminders and lists!

If you're like me and need a mobile office, you will love the accordion file and document sleeves. I find these especially helpful for keeping my client work organized and presentation ready. The best part is it all fits neatly inside my bag when I'm heading out the door.

Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery also has me ready for the holidays with beautiful products that are durable enough to mail and pretty enough to sit under the tree. That's two jobs well done! These holiday products are only available in-store at Staples. I have even been using the journal to plan upcoming events and found the entertaining tips in the back of the journal to be extra helpful.

Labels, one cannot have too many! I'm pretty sure these Chalkboard Labels were created with me in mind because they can be cleaned and repositioned. They are great for smooth surfaces like glass, plastic containers, and metal boxes and come in various sizes and styles. Don't be surprised if you see these popping up in more places!
These are just a few of the great items I received. To learn about the product line and all of the simple and stylish ways to get organized visit Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery to browse, then purchase items from the collection at Staples. You can also like Avery on Facebook!
I'm so happy to have the opportunity to share this giveaway with a lucky reader. In order to enter for a chance to win a $100 gift card to Staples, let me know your favorite organizing tip!

So I am freaking obsessed. Just picked up some Shagreen Mint items from this collection the other day. Give me, give me! Would be delighted for more! Thank you for the giveaway Rene!
ReplyDeleteMy best organization tip is: file it now, don't wait, don't put it on the I'll-do-it-later pile. Wish I could consistently follow this rule, the piles would melt away. Jo @ Let's Face the Music jamesonvaughn (at) verizon (dot) net
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is keep lists for gifts, and send thank you notes as soon as you receive a gift.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to keep all surfaces cleared by whatever means necessary. So much less stress.
ReplyDeleteMy best organization tip is to hire a professional organizer if you can, it will be one of the best investments! Give yourself an hour or two and you will see how fast things start to take shape.
ReplyDeleteLearning to let go of things, passing things along to those in need and to make notes of what needs to be completed helps.
Love STAPLES, love the Martha Stewart Avery collection too.
Love seeing my pve card of your home tucked in that box! Thanks-
pve
My best organzing tip is touch it once. Open the mail when you get it from the mail box, keep what you need, toss the rest. Receipts - file it or trash it. Paper accumulates at our house like locusts. If I don't get rid of it as soon as it comes in, we'll be swimming in it.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to keep small boxes, jars or baskets rather than discarding them. With some labels, they are handy for organizing cluttered spaces.

My favorite tip is to do a quick pick-up of your house daily, before you go to bed. And not just throwing everything in a basket--actually putting everything back where it belongs! You can stay much more organized if you have a place for everything and know where it is.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this line. It's the first area I visit when I visit Staples :) Our office is full of her stuff!
My organizing tip is to have one spot for mail so that its easier to go through it all at once. Throw away junk mail as soon as you get it! I love the Martha Stewart collection at staples!
ReplyDeleteI am a crafty person and that does not mean always organized. My biggest way to organize is to put it away immediately before a pile builds up.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to tame the clutter for me is to take care of all mail and everything else I bring in as soon as I walk in the door. I put everything in it's place before I do anything else.
ReplyDeleteI have always been a big fan of Martha and I die over all her organization things! I would love to have any of them!
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is be organized is to take everything in a basket and then go through it with 3 things in mind.
ReplyDeleteDonate, Put away (file) or Sell it.
If you can hire a professional organizer, it really is amazing how they can restore order. I think we all need this in such a busy life, especially Moms.

I also liked on Facebook Avery.

After you use it--put it back in it's place. Simple, but not always so easy to follow...
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to straighten everything up before bed each night. Once you get into the habit, it'll drive you crazy if you don't do it before bed. When my papers are put away each night, they have a way of not getting lost.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to always have a place for something. Buy a filing cabinet for papers and organize them in labeled folders, buy bins to put craft supplies in, dedicate shelves in the pantry for specific food items, ect.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is to store a set of sheets in their pillowcase. I also hide a set of scissors and tape from the kids and keep it with my gift wrap.
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to always be consistent. If there is a place for something, help it back to it's home. That way everyone know where it is and you are not constantly being asked where everything in the world is. Get everyone in the house on the same program.
ReplyDelete:)

My best organization tip: start by decluttering.
ReplyDeleteI am the creative type - a graphic designer thru and thru, so you can only image, my office is in total disarray. My tip: have a friend come over that loves to organize! It saves me HOURS of time! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the labels. Have been obsessing over the whole line for some time.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite organizing tip is using labels on baskets and magazine holders. They help you know where things are for easy access!
ReplyDeleteSeasidesmitten@aol.com
I have bins that say keep toss and donate always in the area. there is always stuff and a lot of times there is stuff that I d o not need so they go in one of these bins.
ReplyDeleteI've always liked the adage touch each paper once...Haven't quite got to 100% compliance though!
ReplyDeleteI love all of her products and need help organizing!
ReplyDeleteLove those chalkboard labels. And I agree, the best way to stay organized is to declutter!
ReplyDeleteI need to make lists to be organized
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to buy everything I can in stackable. Once I started looking I even found coffee mugs that stack neatly. Merry P.S. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
ReplyDeleteForgot my tip! I try to keep things organized by making sure it makes sense. Sounds silly, but if I keep putting something in a certain drawer, but its designated spot is somewhere else, the system clearly isn't working, and I'll reorganized based on that. More important now that I'm married - I have to see where my husband keeps putting things!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tip - put it away immediately. Hang your coat when you get home, put shoes away, clean as you go, etc...
ReplyDeleteI would be thrilled to win this terrific give-a-way!
one of my favorite organizing tips: keep the boxes copy paper comes in, cover with pretty contact paper and use to hold misc. items....I keep one in my pantry to hold excess kitchen gadgets that take up too much space in a drawer. I keep another one on a shelf in my office to hold misc. school supplies for my kids....inexpensive and fun to coordinate with your decor!
ReplyDeletecwcrisp@gmail.com
This is how I know I'm either getting older, or a hard-core blogger...a shopping spree at Staples sounds like a dream come true! :)
ReplyDeleteI love a basket for organizing things! Papers look so much prettier in a basket than strewn on a desk!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite tip is to teach your children to put their things back in their designated places. :-)
ReplyDeletepannaidowu(at)gmail(dot)com
favorite organizing tip...i dunno, just don't let it get too out of hand, and then it'll be easy to clean up. i love the mail slot/key holder thing we use to keep all that stuff in one spot and out of the way.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is from having five kids:) the art projects from school could fill our house. Each month , I line up the art work that has been created on the sofa with the child who made it, snap a photo & toss . We keep the really special stuff in a bin w/ each child's name.
ReplyDeleteHave one notebook or binder where you keep all your separate lists.
ReplyDeleteI helped myself organize gift wrap items by getting a huge roll of brown craft paper and using it for everything from wrapping gifts to place mats for the camp. Keep trying to simplify!
ReplyDeleteI think the best organizing tip I have is to color code. I have one color code key that I use for everything. That way no matter what kind of calender, list or document I always know what each color means.
ReplyDeleteI organized my pantry recently with the MS chalkboard labels- love them! Labels make a big difference when your organizing.
ReplyDeleteMan, I need all the organizing help I can get and what better person to assist me than Martha;)
ReplyDeleteChalkboard label everything in your pantry!
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to clean as you go so things don't get out of control.
ReplyDeletei am not the best person to be spewing organizational tips, but i will say that we have a place for everything kid related, which helps us when it comes to putting away toys... there is no question where it goes!
ReplyDeleteI'm not the most organized person, but I have learned to put things away right away--don't let them pile up--and make sure everything has a dedicated place.
ReplyDeleteI love Martha! Wish she could come help me organize . . .
ReplyDeleteI use a hanging shoe holder to store all the winter mittens and hats ... works like a charm! Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI try to label and everything has it's place.

I love this giveaway!!! I have been a frequent shopper at Staples every since Martha 's line arrived there. I love the blue binders and they help keep my paper clutter under control. If I don't attack all the papers that come into the house daily, it piles up on the desk. Thanks so much for hosting such a fabulous giveaway!!!
ReplyDeletegotta love those labels......
ReplyDeletei love those labels!
ReplyDeleteLove to make lists and then get to cross things off as they get done.

Label the files, so you know where things go and can stash those important papers right away. It saves time when you need to look up things in the future.
ReplyDeleteYour post was such a good reminder to keep on keeping on the task of organizing. I picked up a set of the ivory shagreen office set this summer and love it. It looks pretty and clean. The paper options are endless but I forgot to explore them once school resumed. Thank you for the timely reminder. Now it the perfect time to stock up on supplies for the big Janaury clean up.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite tip is to always have a pad of paper by your desk. Write down things when they pop into your head and at the end of the day review your notes. Its keeps me clear and focused. projectgadabout at gmail dot com

I would love to win this to help me get more organized! My one tip to share is to go paperless. No more paper bills. Less to have to go through. And stand by the garbage or recycle bin when you go through the mail!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite to do tip -- only touch it once! As in, file/trash the mail when you receive it rather than moving it from place to place. Fold the laundry as the load dries - don't let accumulate, etc.. touch it once.
ReplyDeleteTry to sort the mail and throw away all of the junk before you ever get a chance to put it down (or pile it up)!
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to keep a post-it note in a bag, so when you remember something, write it down!
ReplyDeleteGodsgalnj@gmail.com
When you use a tool, put it right back in its "home".
ReplyDeleteMy best and only organizing tip is to have a place, a hook, a bin, a drawer, a shelf, a whatever for absolutely everything. It may sound ridiculously over simplified, but if you only have/buy what you need and put it back in the same place....it works. I kind of learned this through the years from reading Martha Stewart Living religiously. I love her stuff at Staples!

My tip is to use baskets to organize everything I can -- coffee supplies in the kitchen, wash cloths, towels and sheets in the linen closet, toiletries in the bathroom -- everything looks so much better and organized if it's in a pretty basket!
ReplyDeleteMy only tip is using matching baskets to store awkward items like extension cords and other misc. electronic bit, or paints and brushes, or rarely used cleaning supplies.
ReplyDeletebingomamanorma(at)gmail(dot)com
I don;t have any good tips which is why I need some organization tools! I guess one tip is don't let it get out of hand - purge occasionally!
ReplyDeleteadrianecoros(at)gmail(dot)com
My best tip is to have a place for everything & keep everything in it's place. Easier said than done with two littles around! Also, it's important to me to purge a couple of times a year - where does all that stuff come from anyway?

ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to have a system - file folders, notebooks, etc.. and use it!!!
ReplyDeletesally.puckett@yahoo.com
I have long struggled with getting the kids to put away their shoes. Finally, I found a old wooden storage bench at Goodwill, painted it with chalk paint, and put it by the back door. I also came up with a saying: "Shoes in the bench so you can find them in the morn-ing!" This works pretty well. I had hoped when we moved to a new larger home with an actual coat closet, it would no longer be necessary, but after 2 weeks without the shoe bench, I had to bring it back out!
ReplyDeleteI still struggle with organization, but the best method is also the most simple. Take care of the mail as it comes in, either file what needs to be filed or toss in into the recycle bin. Also, labels and tags on items make things so much easier to find and put things into the correct spot.
ReplyDeleteIf you can do away with paper and go all digital/electronic, you will save so much desk space and keep all your info in one place: your computer! I do this and LOVE it!!

My best tip would be to get rid of paper, keep everything on your computer. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI save my paper shopping bags from j.crew/BR/Loft, etc and keep them near the paper shredder. As soon as the shredder is full, I empty it into a bag, staple it shut and toss it in th recycling bin.
ReplyDeleteI go thru my paper pile once every week and make sure they don't pile up.
ReplyDeleteKeep you "deal with later" pile very small and take care of as much at the moment you first receive it.
ReplyDeleteMy best organizing tip? Don't postpone dealing with paper. Mine accumulates so rapidly if I don't take care of it right away it takes a big block of time to finally get rid of it.
