Hi, I'm René Zieg, founder and creative voice behind the blog Cottage & Vine. I started the blog in 2009 as a creative outlet to share a few of the many projects that transpire around our 1930's cottage. Little did I know where it would lead. Today, thousands of readers stop by for their daily dose of home & garden inspiration sprinkled with my other passions, food & fashion.
Writing Cottage & Vine has put me in touch with so many like minded people who enjoy creating and sharing ideas as much as I do. It also gave me the courage to pursue a lifelong dream of starting my own decorating business, René Zieg Interiors. Never would I have imagined that I could work from home, doing what I love - helping others create homes they love.

While I do consider most advertising offers, it is important that all products be of interest to my readers. I have developed a reader base of decor & fashion savvy females (mostly) who trust my opinion. I only consider sponsors that would appeal to them.

I do, from time to time, review products if I feel that they are in keeping with my reader base. You are more than welcome to send me a product for review. However, please know that if I receive the product and do not feel that it is a good fit, then it may not be shared here on the blog.
